The Columbus Wildcat baseball and softball teams host Iowa Mennonite Thursday for a Southeast Iowa Superconference and KCII area showdown.

The IMS softball team enters play with a 3-14 overall record, having swept Mediapolis on the road Wednesday. For the year, IMS is hitting .256 on the season, led by Avery Blauvelt with a .405 average. IMS has a team ERA of 7.69, led by Leah Bontrager with 1-1 record in 13 innings and a 4.50 ERA. Columbus is 4-20 on the year. In their last game the Wildcats dropped a 9-1 decision at Highland Thursday. Columbus is hitting .258 as a team, led by Emma Milder with a .345 average. In the circle the Wildcats have a team ERA of 5.63, led by Anna Hamilton with a 2-12 record in 60 innings and a 5.42 ERA. These two teams have met twice this year splitting the matchups with IMS winning the first game 10-1 and Columbus winning last weekend in the IMS Classic 12-11.

On the baseball diamond, IMS is 12-8 coming into the game, after being swept at Mediapolis on Wednesday. For the season, IMS is hitting .257, led by Eli Ours with a .392 average. On the mound IMS has a team ERA of 3.27, led by Drew Blauvelt with a 3-1 record in 24 innings and a 1.75 ERA. Columbus comes into the game with an overall record of 2-14. Last time out the Wildcats were beaten by Highland 9-2. On the season Columbus is hitting .223 as a team, led by Abel Mena with a .389 average. On the mound the Wildcats have a team ERA of 10.33, led by Tommy Pretz with a 3.11 ERA, and 2-2 overall record in 18 innings. These two teams met earlier in the season with IMS taking a 25-0 win.
