The next stop on the KCII Big Red Radio Summer Town Tour is Sunday when the NEVER FORGET Mobile 9/11 Memorial will be at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

The Memorial will be escorted to the fairgrounds on Saturday, beginning at the Ainsworth 4-Corners truck stop at 2p.m. The 53 foot mobile museum recounts the tragic events of September 11th, 2001, including as a tribute to those who lost their lives in the attack. Event organizer Carol Horning shares the importance of the exhibit. “I’ve actually had the opportunity to see it and it’s a very moving thing to see. I feel really fortunate that everybody in the community has helped me get this here to town. It’s amazing. The firefighters that are coming from New York are actually people who were in the towers that lived through this. They tell their stories of what it was like that day and make you feel like you were absolutely in that building with them.”

On Sunday, veterans, military members, law enforcement and area emergency responders are invited to the fair for free to see the exhibit. It is handicap accessible and air conditioned. The exhibit will be at the fair July 15th, 16th and 17th. To see it you just have to pay admittance to the fair. The Big Red Radio will be broadcasting live on Sunday from 1-3p.m.
