The Washington Public Library is hosting Allie’s Alley Party in the Alley behind the Library on Friday, July 27, in celebration of the library’s adult summer reading program.

Adult Services Librarian Allie Paarsmith says there’s still time to participate. To be eligible for prizes participants will have to have completed reading six books between June 1 and July 31. Approximately 20 people participating in the program have turned in their paperwork to date, and Paarsmith says she hopes many more reading logs will be coming in. Allie’s Alley Party will feature the Keota Brass Band, free food and prizes, and begins at 5 p.m. on Friday.
