Washington County’s unemployment rate rose from May to June.

The rate went from 2.0% in May to 2.2% in June. In June of 2017, 3.0% of Washington County was unemployed. Overall, the state’s unemployment rate remained unchanged from May to June at 2.7%. The state’s rate is lower than June of 2017, which was 3.2%. All of Washington County’s contiguous counties saw rises in unemployment rates from May to June.
