A Memorandum of Understanding and contract with Department of Inspections and Appeals were both accepted by the Washington County Board of Health Wednesday.

The MOU is with the ADLM Public Health office that oversees Appanoose, Davis, Lucas and Monroe Counties, based in Moravia. This reciprocal agreement allows the two groups to coordinate efforts and resources for an environmental health event  in the area.The DIA contract is for a three-year period. The DIA is a food and safety consumer advocate for those at the county level, providing aid for inspections, licensing, regulations and other resources.
