The Washington Demon softball team played one of their final games of the regular season on the road last night, falling at Central Lee 6-4.

The Demons would take a 3-1 lead after their half of the second inning, and would eventually hold a 4-3 lead going into the home half of the sixth.  But the Hawks struck for three runs in that inning, and the Demons were held scoreless in the seventh.

Molly Sparks pitched for the Demons, going six innings and giving up six runs on ten hits while striking out four.  She threw a first-pitch strike 26 of the batters she faced.

Kellie Dallmeyer led the way at the plate, notching two hits and an RBI.

The Demons will head down to Fort Madison tonight for a Southeast Conference double-header, looking to complete the season sweep of the Bloodhounds.  First pitch of game one is scheduled for 5:30.
