Washington is in its final week of the annual Gallery Art Walk and Totally Tubular Transformation in the downtown square.

Folks can see a variety of local art displayed in businesses’ windows as well as repainted water softener tubes, which are sold for $10 each by the LET’s Center for the Healing & Creative Arts to residents to decorate. Isabella Santoro with the LET’s Center shares the purpose of the Totally Tubular Transformation, “The mission of the LET’s Center, and that’s the LET’s Center for the Healing & Creative Arts, is to make Washington a place where the arts can thrive. So that’s our mission that’s our goal and this is a big part, it’s celebrating those who are already established artists with the gallery walk that’s been around for years and years and encouraging others to kind of come out of their shells and maybe become artists themselves.”

The tubes will be auctioned off on the bandstand in central park at noon this Saturday. Proceeds will benefit Latinos for Washington Inc. and the LET’s Center.
