Do you have a child entering Kindergarten or ninth grade?

If so, they need to get a dental screening prior to the start of the school year. Washington County Public Health is holding free dental screenings for those students going into Kindergarten and ninth grade. The first screening will be held tomorrow, Thursday July 12, with the second screening on August 9. Both screenings will be from 3-6 p.m. on the fifth floor of Washington County Public Health. Martha Hernandez, I-Smile Coordinator, tells KCII Radio the purpose of the screening is to check for any problems and to work with parents to help find the child a dental home if they don’t already have one. The screenings are required by state law.
