Washington County Public Health is holding free dental screenings for students going into Kindergarten and ninth grade.

The first screening will be held this week, Thursday July 12, with the second screening on August 9. Both screenings will be from 3-6 p.m. on the fifth floor of Washington County Public Health. Martha Hernandez, I-Smile Coordinator, tells KCII Radio the purpose of the screening is to check for any problems and to work with parents to help find the child a dental home if they don’t already have one. The screenings are required by state law.
