The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk softball team will be on the road Tuesday against Williamsburg in the opening round of the class 3A playoffs.

The Golden Hawks enter the postseason with an overall record of 4-24 after a sweep at the hands of the Bettendorf Bulldogs on Monday. Mid-Prairie hitting .289 as a team, led by Rylee Vercande with a .405 average. In the circle the Hawks have a 3.89 ERA, led by Cassidy Rourke with a 3.92 ERA in 98 innings and a 3-16 overall record.

Williamsburg comes into the matchup with an overall record of 23-14. Last time out the Raiders split a doubleheader with Anamosa over the weekend. For the season Williamsburg is hitting .304 as a team, led by Jill Holub with a .404 mark. In the circle the Raiders have a team ERA of 2.80. They are led by Kortni Gensley with a 10-7 record in 113 innings and a 3.14 ERA. These two teams last met in 2015 with Mid-Prairie taking a 12-2 win.
