The Washington Demon baseball team had two players named to the first All-Southeast District team for their outstanding work in the 2018 season.

Cade Hennigan, also the Southeast Conference’s player of the year, was named one of three first-team outfielders.  Hennigan finished the year with a .469 batting average and an on-base percentage of .541.  He led the Southeast Conference (among regular players) in both of those marks, and was also second in the conference in runs scored with 53.

Luke Turner is the Demons’ other selection, being named one of three utility players for his work both at the plate and on the pitcher’s mound in his sophomore season.

Offensively, he tied Hennigan in batting average with .469 and drove in a team-high 39 runs.  On the mound, he led all pitchers in the conference without a start in innings pitched with 16.2 along with boasting a 2.10 ERA and 17 strikeouts.

This is the first all-district honor for each of them.
