The Iowa Mennonite School baseball team continues on the tournament trail Thursday night when they travel to New London to take on the Tigers.

IMS enters play with a 14-9 record after a 16-7 first round playoff win over Keota on Tuesday. IMS is hitting .263 on the season, led by Eli Ours with a .390 average. On the mound IMS has a team ERA of 3.37, led by Drew Blauvelt with a 3-1 overall record and 2.24 ERA in 25 innings pitched.

New London comes into the contest with an overall record of 21-2 on the year. The Tigers are currently ranked No. 8 in class 1A in the latest poll from the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association. New London opened district play with a 5-3 win over Danville on Tuesday. For the year the Tigers are hitting .319 as a team, led by Sam Loyd with a .418 average. On the mound New London has a team ERA of 2.02 led by Isaac McSorely with an 8-0 record and 1.85 ERA. Loyd is the team leader in ERA at 0.49 and a 4-0 record in 28 innings.

These two teams met in June with New London scoring an 11-1 win in five innings. the winner advances to the district championship game on Saturday.
