The Lone Tree Lion baseball team lost in the second round of the class 1A playoffs Thursday night, falling to second-ranked, unbeaten Lisbon in five innings by a 13-3 score.

The Lions got out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first and added two more in the top of the third.  But Lisbon remembered who they were in the bottom half, striking for nine runs and taking all the momentum for themselves.  Lisbon would score three more in the fourth to take a 12-3 lead and, after a scoreless Lone Tree fifth inning, delivered the final blow with a run in the bottom half to take the ten-run victory.

With the loss, Lone Tree ends their season at 10-17.  The team will say farewell to three seniors in Wesley Hotz, Casey Shalla and Dakota Smith, and returns the remaining 13 players.
