The City of Riverside will be undergoing a resurfacing project of Highway 22 within the city limits this fall.

The Riverside City Council held a public information meeting about the project on July 11th. Mayor Allen Schneider comments on the meeting, “We’re looking at resurfacing Highway 22 from one end of town to the other and along with that we’ll have some additional infrastructure, some curb and gutter and things like that that will go in along that route. So for that public information meeting we just asked citizens to come in, ask their questions so everybody knew what to expect with that project and I would say we had 25-30 citizens or property owners show up for that and good discussion and hopefully that will help make it a better project.”

The project was engineered by MMS Consultants and is currently out for bid with a deadline of August 2nd. The city council will then award a construction contract at their August 6th meeting. Work is expected to begin in September.
