Southern Iowa is under drought conditions.

All but the northeast tip of Washington and all of Louisa counties are in abnormally dry conditions. The northern two thirds of Keokuk County is abnormally dry, with the southern third in moderate drought. Counties to our south are in moderate to severe drought, with conditions worsening the further one goes south. The driest county in the state is Davis, where the southern half of the county is in extreme drought.
