Much of the southern two tiers of Iowa counties are under drought conditions.

While Washington County isn’t in a drought, more southern sections of Keokuk and Louisa Counties are either abnormally dry or exhibit moderate drought conditions. Wapello, Jefferson, and Henry Counties are under moderate or severe drought. The driest county in the state? Davis. Conditions worsen south of the Iowa Missouri border.
