Two Ejected from Motorcycle After Colliding with Bovine Tuesday

Two people were ejected from a motorcycle after colliding with livestock north of Kalona Tuesday.

According to the Iowa State Patrol 33-year-old Elliot Ray Kelley of Coralville was driving a motorcycle southbound on Sharon Center Road at about 8:30 p.m. when he attempted to avoid but collided with a Bovine in the roadway. The motorcycle came to rest in the west ditch near 5380 Sharon Center Road Southwest. The owner of the livestock witnessed the incident. The driver and passenger 27-year-old Sarah Kathryn Kelley of Coralville were both transported by Johnson County Ambulance Service to the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics for treatment of minor injuries. Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Kalona First Responders, and Kalona Fire Department also responded to the scene.
