Congressman Dave Loebsack was at the Washington Airport Friday.

He was there to tour the facility and discuss a recent $269,000 grant from the Federal Aviation Administration that the airport received to expand the existing general aviation apron to 5,000 square yards. The expansion will provide additional space for aircraft parking. Mayor Jaron Rosien tells KCII radio he is extremely thankful for the competency and dedication of the airport commission because it is their knowledge and vision that ensures the success of the Washington airport. The Washington airport is one of the busiest airports in the state, ranking ninth out of our 101 airports.
