The Mid-Prairie baseball team dropped a pair of River Valley Conference games to No. 5 in class 2A Wilton Tuesday.

In game one the Beavers beat the Golden Hawks 2-0. Mid-Prairie got one hit each from Connor Miller and Brad Tornow. Wilton’s Colin McCrabb tossed the complete game shut out while striking out 10 batters. Collin Gingerich took the loss for the Golden Hawks throwing five innings. Wilton got a single run in each of the fifth and sixth innings for the victory.

In game two, the Beavers took a 6-0 win. The Golden Hawk offense was limited to one hit by Jared Townsend who threw the complete game shut out while striking out 14. The Beavers scored twice in the first, once in the fourth and three times in the sixth with Colin McCrabb driving in three. After the sweep, the Hawks are now 11-15 on the year.
