At the most recent meeting of the Washington County Board of Supervisors, board member Richard Young briefed the group on developments in the implementation of new emergency communications equipment.

Young met with RACOM last week, discussing the equipment and the agreement. RACOM was selected as the vendor for the project with their $5.8 million, five site proposal which included a 10-year projected maintenance plan. Young plans to be involved in another meeting with RACOM and the architect of the new facility to house the equipment within the week.
