The annual PAWS and More Animal Shelter Central Park Car Show is coming to the Washington square for its 20th year Sunday.

This is the longest standing event for the shelter. Director of PAWS and More Animal Shelter Amber Talbot tells KCII about the history of the event and highlights, “It had originally started with Rick Stauffer who had adopted a cat from us and really wanted to help the shelter, and this was a way for him to give. He was very involved with the car clubs. All of the proceeds from registration and the sponsorships help support the shelter. We also serve lunch, the pork producers and Hora family provide the meal. Even if you don’t have a car that you are going to register it’s a great day to come out and enjoy central park. It’s a great family event.”

Registration is from 8-11a.m. with a car entry fee of $15. Awards are at 3p.m. There is also a 50/50 raffle. All of the proceeds benefit the shelter. You can find more information by visiting the shelter’s website and Facebook page.
