Thursday August 9 is the last day Washington County Public health will be giving free dental screenings for children going into Kindergarten and ninth grade.

Martha Hernandez, I-Smile Coordinator, tells KCII Radio parents can just show up with their children, and the paperwork will be ready for them. The purpose of the screening is to check for any problems and to work with parents to help find the child a dental home if they don’t already have one. The screenings are required by state law.
