The Iowa Mennonite School baseball team finished 2018 with an overall record of 16-10.

From mid to late June, IMS put together a six game winning streak to move above the .500 permanently for the year. IMS hit .259 as a team, led by Eli Ours and his .362 average. Reggie Borntrager led the squad with 24 RBI. Cole Ours paced IMS with 34 runs scored, 30 total hits and 27 stolen bases.

On the mound, IMS had a team ERA of 3.48. The pitching staff was led by Drew Blauvelt with a 4-1 overall record and 2.33 ERA in 30 innings of work. Blake Bontrager worked 46 innings with a 4-4 record and 3.50 ERA, striking out 35 hitters.

Iowa Mennonite had six players recognized with all-conference honors including Cole and Eli Ours, Bontrager, Isaiah Swantz, Trevor Leyden and Borntrager. In the playoffs, IMS advanced to the substate final for the second straight season before being eliminated by No. 2 Lisbon.
