Saturday morning local authorities responded to several reports of a vehicle causing damage in Washington.

In an initial report the vehicle was described as a red Ford Ranger that struck a stop sign at the intersection of South 2nd and East Van Buren. Another caller reported the truck had been involved in an accident in the yard of a residence at the intersection of South 12th and East Van Buren. At that location a pole was damaged. It was also reported by law enforcement that several vehicles had been broken into at Case Field. The stolen items from those vehicles were retrieved and placed into evidence.

The juvenile was apprehended and charged with a .02 alcohol violation, motor vehicle theft, burglary third degree, theft fifth degree, possession of a controlled substance marijuana, possession of tobacco under the legal age and failure to maintain control. The juvenile was released to his father and a report is to be filed.
