After taking a loss to Midland in week zero, the Lone Tree Lion football will play its second road game of the season tomorrow night against Montezuma.

The Lions came into the season tied for the fifth ranking in the eight-man class in the Gazette/KGYM preseason poll.  This is Montezuma’s first season as an eight-man team, but Lion head coach Aaron Bohr still expects them to put up a fight.

“I’m really excited to lock horns with them,” Bohr said.  “They’re a team we don’t know too much about; we didn’t play them last year.  But we fully expect them to be a physical team; we expect them to be competitive.  They are new to the eight-man game, so there may be some things that they’re a little rough in yet, but we’re expecting to play them in a good one.”

Kickoff in Montezuma is set for 7:00.
