The Washington County Auditor’s Office is now accepting nomination papers for non-party offices that will appear on the November general election ballot.

Offices include county hospital board, agricultural extension council, soil conservation commission, Brighton Township clerk/trustee and Clay Township clerk/trustee. A term of service on the hospital board is six years, extension council and soil commission terms are four years. Township office terms are four years each.

The filing period for those planning to run as independents for county attorney, county recorder, county treasurer and county supervisor is also now open.

Nomination papers are available at the County Auditor’s Office. The deadline to file is August 29th at 5p.m.
