The Washington Demon softball team took a share of the Southeast Conference championship this season behind some outstanding offensive production across the board.

Throughout conference play, the Demons led the league in almost every major offensive category.  They were the top hitting team against conference opponents with a .368 batting average.  Their 159 hits were good for tops in the conference on just 439 at-bats; the second-lowest total in the conference.  They also led the conference in RBI with 90; just one more than Keokuk, their fellow conference champs.

Their strikeout-to-walk ratio was also the league’s best, walking the most amount of times and striking out the fewest.  Their 36 strikeouts were 28 fewer than Fairfield, who was second in the category.
