The Washington Demon baseball team finished the season at 21-12 and at third place in the conference.  Right in the middle of that success was sophomore Luke Turner.

Turner was astounding in his second varsity season, and it was quite the improvement from his first.  After hitting .264 his freshman season, he came back this year to improve that by over 200 points with a .469 average, his RBI total went up by 26 and he stole 16 more bases.  His 23 steals on the season were the most in the Southeast conference.

His performance throughout the season was good enough to earn him first-team honors on both the all-conference and all-district teams.  He’ll look to continue his athletic success this fall on the football field.
