The Winfield-Mt. Union softball team had their first winning season in at least a decade, and a lot of that success came off the bat of freshman Molly Miller.

Miller took a huge step forward in comparison to her eighth-grade year.  She cracked over eight times the amount of hits she did a year ago, drove in 22 more runs and upped her average by over 200 points.  Her slugging percentage also went through the roof, improving that number by over 550 points.

Throughout league play, Miller led the Superconference in home runs (4), was third in RBI (19) and second in slugging percentage (.736) and doubles (6).  She was also tied for the conference lead in times hit by a pitch.  These numbers were good enough to earn her a spot on the second all-conference team.
