The Sigourney-Keota football team came away with a huge road victory last Friday night, beating then-ranked Lynnville Sully by 36 points.  They’re back at home tomorrow night, ready to take on Albia.

After missing the season opener, senior running back Carson Crawford is back in the fold now.  Crawford, who is coming off an all-district baseball season, went off against Lynnville-Sully for 285 yards and two touchdowns.  Head coach Jared Jensen said having him back was a big deal.

“Having Carson Crawford back helped the morale for the team,” Jensen said.  “I think everybody stepped up and played one of the best game any of them have played.”

Albia brings an offensive scheme that SK has not seen this season, but Jensen isn’t worried.

“It’s gonna be a spread team.  We saw a double-tight team, saw another run team in week two, and now we’re going to spread.  But defensively, what we worked in camp most just to understand coverages was more of a spread look.  So I think we’l be alright going from two run teams to a pass team.”

Kickoff from Sigourney is scheduled for 7:00.
