After losing week one, the Sigourney-Keota football team is on a hot streak.  The Cobras are winners of two straight by a combined 66-32 score, and they’ll look to carry that momentum on the road tomorrow night when they face off against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont.

Both of these teams sit at 2-1 on the young season.  The Cobras are winners of two straight, and the Rockets won two straight before losing to #9 Chariton (DM Register rankings) in week three 22-7.

Carson Crawford has been a huge factor for SK since his return in week two, rushing for 547 yards and three touchdowns across two games.  According to head coach Jared Jensen, that’s just the spark they needed.

“His style of play brings everybody else’s best out of them,” Jensen said.  “That’s what you want as a leader.  He’s a quiet guy, but when he steps on the field, it’s bar-none; a tough kid out there playing.  And everybody else rallies around that.”

Kickoff from Eddyville is scheduled for 7:00.
