The Washington Demon volleyball team took a loss at 15th-ranked Fort Madison Thursday night, moving their conference record to 1-2 on the young season.  They’ll look to improve that tonight at home against Fairfield.

Thursday’s loss came on a sweep, with the Demons losing three sets to none.  They were led by Isabel Bailey and Addison Six, who had six and five kills respectfully and each had a perfect serving efficiency.  Those two also led defensively, with Bailey digging it up seven times and Six finishing with three total blocks.

Tonight’s match brings in a previously-ranked Fairfield team, who dropped out of the most recent rankings from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU), likely due to their losing five of their last six games.  The Trojans swept the season series in more ways than one last year, beating the Demons six sets to none in two games.

The Demons will look to get the Trojans’ number tonight at home, with the varsity match set to start at 7:30.
