The Columbus Wildcat football team dropped their home opener Friday against visiting GMG 32-0.

Chance Colby topped the century mark, rushing 25 times for 115 yards, but the Wildcats couldn’t overcome three turnovers and more than 400 rushing yards by GMG, including 237 yards and four touchdowns from Brock Baldazo. With the loss Columbus falls to 0-2 on the year as they get ready to host arch rival Louisa-Muscatine Friday.
