Following recent rains the Iowa River has breached its banks in southeast Iowa.

As of Tuesday morning, the Iowa River was about a foot above the 20-foot flood stage at Wapello, and the 10-foot flood stage at Oakville. At Columbus Junction water rose over the 19-foot flood stage where a flood warning is in effect until early next week. Flood warnings are in effect at Wapello and Oakville until further notice. A flood warning is also in effect for the Cedar River at Conesville until Tuesday. More rain is expected this week, listen to KCII for weather updates.
