Nomination papers are available for a special election to elect a new Riverside City Council member.

A public petition was filed with the Washington County Auditor’s Office to hold the election to fill the city council seat which was left vacant by Rob Weber in August. Ralph Schnoebelen was appointed by the city council to serve the rest of Weber’s term through December 2019. The election will be held December 11th. The nomination petition filing deadline is November 16th at 5 p.m. The petition should have at least 10 signatures from Riverside residents who are eligible electors and should be filed with Riverside City Clerk Becky LaRoche. It must also be accompanied by a notarized Affidavit of Candidacy. Nomination papers are available at the county auditor’s office at the Washington County Courthouse or can be found online.
