The Winfield-Mt. Union football team ran into a buzz saw on the road Friday, falling to No. 3 New London by an 82-8 score.

The Tigers led the game 34-0 after one quarter and 62-0 at the half. The Tigers outgained the Wolves 366-44, including 155-14 through the air and 211-30 on the ground. New London had 17 first downs to WMU’s four. The Wolves turned the football over three times in the contest. Isaac McSorely led New London going 11 of 14 through the air for 155 yards and a pair of touchdowns. On the ground the Tiger attack was led by Keontae Luckett with eight carries for 59 yards and four touchdowns. With the win, New London moves to an unbeaten 6-0 while Winfield-Mt. Union falls to 1-5 on the year.
