In a back and forth game Friday night, HLV got by Lone Tree by a 40-26 final.

The Lions got on the board first when Harmon Miller found Avery Knock from 25 yards out for a touchdown. After a Warrior touchdown to go up 8-6, Knock took the ensuing kickoff back 70 yards for a score to put the Lions back on top. HLV would find the end zone again right before half to take a 16-12 lead into the break.

Out of the locker room HLV extended their lead to 24-12 on a 13 yard touchdown run by Chase Sternhagen his second of the night. Bryce Houser had the Lone Tree answer on a 26 yard scoring scamper. In the fourth, HLV put up two insurance touchdowns while Lone Tree found the end zone once with Miller connecting with Brady Dauber for a 77 yard touchdown. The Lions put up 249 yards of total offense including 224 through the air from Harmon Miller who was 9/17 for a pair of touchdowns. Houser added a score on the ground. Brady Dauber pulled in three passes for 80 yards and a score. With the loss, Lone Tree is now 1-2 on the year. They host New London next week.
