The WACO football team traveled to face what, on paper, appeared to be their toughest test of the entire season in New London last night.  That would prove to be true, with the Warriors taking the loss 71-12.

Offensively, the Warriors saw some solid production from Nik Coble and Colton Horak; Coble threw for 162 yards and a touchdown, but also threw three picks.  Horak was held decently in check in the ground game with 68 yards and a score, but he broke the 100-yard threshold in the receiving column and caught Coble’s only touchdown pass.

The defense struggled to stop the running talents of Keontae Luckett, however, allowing him to go off for 244 yards on just 14 carries and four touchdowns.  Isaac McSorley also had a solid performance for New London, going 99 yards on 15 carries and a score.  McSorley also threw eight passes, three of which were completed, for 11 yards and a TD.

The Warriors will look to bounce back with a home game this week when Montezuma comes to town.  Kickoff is set for 7:00 Friday night.
