According to the National Weather Service, Washington County has received over five inches of rainfall in the past month. The latest U.S. Drought Monitor report has the area no longer in drought conditions after the previous report indicated the southern portion of the county being in abnormally dry conditions. Portions of Jefferson and Henry counties still remain abnormally dry, with the National Weather Service predicting potential rainfall in the next week.
