The Columbus Wildcats are searching for their first victory of the season as they welcome the rival Louisa-Muscatine Falcons to Columbus Junction on Friday.

Last time out the Wildcats fell to GMG 32-0 despite 115 yards on the ground from Chance Colby. On the year, Columbus is led by Colby through the air at six of 20 for 90 yards and a touchdown. His favorite target is Jaime Villegas with three catches for 39 yards. On the ground Colby has 36 carries for 171 yards and a score. Defensively, the Wildcats are surrendering 40 points per game through the first two weeks.

Louisa-Muscatine comes into the game with an overall record of 1-1 after a win over Van Buren last Friday 41-6 behind 344 total yards and four touchdowns from quarterback Chase Kruse. On the season the Falcons are led by Kruse who is six of 12 through the air for 133 yards and a pair of touchdowns. His favorite target is Brock Jeambey with a pair of catches for 92 yards, both grabs have gone for touchdowns. Kruse leads the Falcons on the ground with 314 yards and three touchdowns on 24 attempts.

These two teams met a year ago in Columbus Junction for their annual rivalry game with the Falcons taking a 30-8 win. Action begins Friday at 7p.m. at Columbus High School.
