The Winfield-Mt. Union volleyball team played a thriller of a match on Thursday night, falling to Pekin at home three sets to two.

After falling by 11 points in set one, the Wolves would storm back with a five-point victory in set two.  They would drop the third and win the fourth, sending it to an all-or-nothing set, which ended in a 15-12 Pekin victory, giving the Panthers the match.

Jenna Buffington had another stellar performance for WMU, posting 16 kills and 25 digs.  Kyndal Townsley had a great night behind the service line, landing six ace serves.

With the loss, the Wolves move to 2-3 on the young season.  Their next action comes tomorrow night when they head to Wapello for a single match.  That one is set to start at 7:30.
