The halls of Washington High School will be full of music Saturday. The school is again hosting the All-State Music Festival auditions. Both instrumentalists and vocalists will be auditioning for solo and ensemble contest. Students will audition in five different categories: vocal, woodwind, brass, string, and percussion. The event will run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. throughout the high school. Last year, two Washington High School students were selected for the festival – Gwen Flannery on oboe and George Guerra on bass trombone. Those selected this year will perform at the annual festival November 15-17 in Ames.
