Radar Friday

Temperatures dipped down to 34 degrees Friday in Washington. Across Iowa snow flurries were seen Friday morning. Superintendent of Washington Schools Willie Stone is reminding parents to have their kids ready for the cold weather, “Just remember, you know, when you wake up you’re warm in your house, remember they’re stepping outside to 30 degrees. Especially if they’re going to be outside for recess, things like that, we want to make sure kids are coming to school with coats and hats, and gloves. We’re hopefully not quite to the glove stage yet, but coats and hats we are to. And make sure, you know as I was saying, as things continue to turn into Iowa winter that we have coats, hats, and boots and pants just to make sure that our kids are protected and safe.”

Temperatures are projected to fall below freezing early in the week and then warm up as the week progresses. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
