Lions Beat Bears To Finish Season

The Lone Tree Lion football team finished their year on a high note, beating English Valleys in a shoot out Friday 55-32.

The Lone Tree defense had a big night, forcing five turnovers including four fumble recoveries. Dwayne Drayfahl, Trey Shalla and Cale Yoder each scooped up a fumble while Avery Knock recovered a fumble and picked off a pass. The Lions had things going offensively as well, posting nearly 300 yards of total offense led by Bryce Houser with 116 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 21 carries. Harmon Miller was seven of 18 through the air for 102 yards and a pair of scores. Keegan Edwards hauled in three passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns. With the win, Lone Tree ends their season at 4-5.
