The One to Count On...

Lions win big off of bye week

After a four-game skid, the Lone Tree Lion football team had the week off last week.  It certainly seemed to help, as the Lions came back and put a beating on Tri County on Friday night, 57-0.

It was senior night in Lone Tree on Friday, and the seniors came to play.  There was a lot of balance offensively, with five of the seven seniors on the Lion roster scoring a touchdown on the ground.  Only five passes were thrown, two of which were completed for touchdowns.  They also scored on special teams, with a 46-yard punt return touchdown from Brady Dauber.

That was the last time the Lions will play at home this season after five straight games there.  They’ll start their season-concluding two-game road stretch at Winfield-Mt. Union this Friday night to take on the Wolves.  Kickoff is set for 7:00.
