Nchoe and Bontrager Take Top 10 Spots at Conference Meet

The Iowa Mennonite School boys and girls cross country teams were in action Thursday at the Southeast Iowa Superconference Cross Country Meet at Cedar Crest Golf Course in Columbus Junction.

The Iowa Mennonite boys were sixth overall with 177 team points. Pekin won the team title with 45 points. IMS was paced by Brian Nchoe with a 10th place finish in 18:36. Other finishers for IMS included, John Hughes 28th, Jacob Boller 37th, Noah Miller 43rd, Aaron Hershberger 66th and Collin Miller 92nd.

The Iowa Mennonite girls finished in eighth place with 178 points. Danville-New London won the team title with 38 points. Leah Bontrager led the way for the IMS girls with a 10th place finish in 22:16. Other finishers for IMS included Sarena Gerber 24th, Esther Hughes 35th, Julia Boller 61st and Ainsley Shaw 74th.
