Southeast Iowa to be Represented at State Cross Country Meet

The state cross country meet in Fort Dodge will have a southeast Iowa flavor after area runners competed to qualify on Thursday.

The Washington Demons will send Evan Horak to state.

The Mid-Prairie girls cross country squad will defend their state title as they qualified for the event as a team. Quinn Schmidt qualified as an individual for the Golden Hawk boys.

Iowa Mennonite School is sending Leah Bontrager to the state meet.

The Highland Huskies will be represented by Madison Thomann at the state meet.

Sigourney’s Mason Moore will also run at state after his performance on Thursday.
