The Winfield-Mt. Union volleyball team traveled to Louisa-Muscatine on Thursday night, downing the Falcons in a three-set sweep.

WMU’s Jenna Buffington had yet another huge game, laying down 21 kills and digging it up 13 times.  On top of that, she went 11-12 from the service line, landing two ace serves in the process.  Kayla Edwards had another 30+ assist game as well, notching 33.  The Wolves may have had more on the scoreboard when the match was done, but at the end of the night, both teams came out winners.

L-M’s scorekeeper, Tanya Fordyce, is currently fighting breast cancer.  With October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, the two teams came together to raise money to help with her medical expenses.  All in all, the teams raised over $2,000.

WMU’s next contest will be on Tuesday when they head to Mediapolis to take on the Bulldogs.  Start time for that one is set for 7:30.
