The Lower Skunk and Cedar Creek Watersheds will receive a share of $2 million dollars distributed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.  Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig announced that eight Iowa watershed projects would receive funding from this grant, including these two in Jefferson, Henry, Wapello, Lee and Keokuk counties. The funding comes from the USDA’s Mississippi River Basin Healthy Watershed Initiative to improve the quality of the water.
