After a 5-4 season and playing in a loaded 1A District Five, eight Sigourney-Keota football players were honored with spots on the all-district teams in some capacity. The first team saw three Cobras named in senior Mac Conrad and juniors Trent Hendricks and JD Stout.  Conrad was named as an offensive lineman, while Hendricks, the team’s leader in tackles, got on as a linebacker.  Stout, the Cobras’ spin back all season long, was named as the utility player for his 1,300+ total yards and 22 total touchdowns.

SK got three second-teamers as well in seniors Kolten Strand and Kyle Weber, and sophomore Sam Sieren.  Sieren played at wing back for a lot of the year, mainly after star rusher Carson Crawford went down with a torn rotator cuff to end his season.  Sieren did well in his stead, rushing for over six and a half yards per carry and scoring six times.  Strand was another offensive lineman for the Cobras, and Weber served as the team’s swiss army knife, playing offense, defense, kicking it off and and punting.

Two more Cobras made it on as honorable mentions: junior Zeke Webb and sophomore Brady Duwa.  Duwa was the team’s leading receiver on the year, and Webb did a variety of things from running the ball to tying for the team lead in tackles for loss.
